Say your organization hosts a ‘Business Networking Event’ then we will publish and promote, within our guidelines, your event to your local community. We aren’t in the networking event business and don’t host any networking events or expos. We just publish networking events. We also publish business networking tips and hints. BNI is a huge business networking organization. BNI stands for Business Network International. Their franchising model has made it easy for them to quickly expand around the world and is arguabley the largest networking organization in the world. BNI’s day to day operations are no longer run by Ivan Misner. But he still remains the formost authority in the business networking community. A Salute to Networking for VETERANS The Government has a ton of resources for returning veterans that’s no secret. But you may not know that there are a number of people that have begun vet-focused networking groups in their communities. In San Diego, we have a large presence of military and defence contractors. Defense contractors will often hire former military personnel when they transition to civilian life. To spotlight those types of opportunities, Tom Hammons created NAVNET. A monthly breakfast meeting that brings together future civilians and potential employers in the defense industry and other industries that may be interested in their skill set. Starting with just a few people Tom has grown this network to over 3000 professionals without out using a website or social media. Social media are networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. (I hope Networking Event Finders and the San Diego Networking Guide has helped.) http://www.seattlestaxi.com/blog This entry was posted on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at 4:23 amand is filed under General.
