Is there a certain verse from the bible that is read at weddings?

Amber asked:

Or do people just choose one that they want.
Is there a verse in there just for weddings?

    Some do however the traditional vow “I take this man/woman to be my lawfully wedded…” is not scriptural

    This passage is very common:

    I Corinthians 13:4-8:
    Love is patient, love is kind.
    It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
    It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
    It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
    Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
    It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
    Love never fails.

    Create a video blog…instantly.

    here you go

    mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

    Here’s one…….

    ” But Ruth said:

    “ Entreat me not to leave you,
    Or to turn back from following after you;
    For wherever you go, I will go;
    And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
    Your people shall be my people,
    And your God, my God.
    Where you die, I will die,
    And there will I be buried.
    The LORD do so to me, and more also,
    If anything but death parts you and me.”

    Ruth 1:16-17
