Can you anticipate the peace you’d experience getting away from the everyday grind? A Hawaii vacation package will allow you to have that respite. No matter if it is winter or summer, you will find the climate perfect. The warm winter sun is what you need to melt away the chill of back home, and throughout the summer you have the gentle and refreshing trade winds coming in from the ocean to moderate the 85 degree heat. When planning a family vacation to Hawaii, you may want to go to one of the islands or make plans to visit more than just that one island. Many visitors make their first trip to Oahu in order to take in Honolulu and Waikiki beach. On the South shore of Oahu you’ll find Pearl Harbor and also the historic USS Arizona Memorial, however there is a lot more to see and enjoy in Hawaii. Although you can get flights to the other Islands directly from the U.S. mainland, the majority of flights connect through Hawaii’s International Airport on Oahu. Kauai is the most northern island in the archipelago, and it’s also the oldest island in Hawaii. Kauai is a romantic island renowned for its natural beauty, and is also great for an outdoor adventure vacation for travelers of all ages. The famed Coconut Coast is on the eastern side of the island, with its wonderful sandy beaches which are a treat for sunbathing and relaxing, or should you travel to the west side of the island you’ll discover what is called the ‘Grand Canyon of the Pacific’ – the Waimea Canyon. Close by is the Kokee State Park, a recreation area of wonderful natural beauty offering a number of hiking trails which can be followed to experience several of the rarest birds in Hawaii as well as plants that exist only in the rainforest. Travel south from Oahu and you’ll find the island of Molokai. Molokai has a substantial concentration of people of native Hawaiian descent, and they continue to be strongly linked to their rich traditions and heritage of the past. Lanai has fewer people than the rest of the Hawaiian Islands, and is perfect for a quiet and peaceful Hawaii vacation. Life is considerably slower paced in Lanai, there are no traffic lights and it is ideal if you require privacy and a more casual vacation than you find on Oahu. Lanai also offers two very good golf courses. The second largest island in the Hawaii Islands is Maui. Several of the finest beaches worldwide are located here. Maui also boasts exceptional opportunities for observing whales that migrate through these waters each winter season. The Big Island is larger than the combined land mass of all the other Islands in Hawaii. Here you’ll discover eleven of the globe’s thirteen climatic zones. You will also have opportunity to view an active volcano in addition to black sand beaches and snow covered mountains. If you’re uncertain about which island you’d prefer to spend most of your vacation, or if this happens to be your first trip to Hawaii, then why not look into one of the numerous cheap Hawaii cruises? You’ll board your cruise ship, upon which you’ll spend your nights, and after departing Honolulu you will experience a day and a half on each island. What could be a better way to see Hawaii for your first visit and then decide which island you enjoy most? If perhaps, however, you do want to spend nights on land, you’ll have no problem getting a place. There are a large number of hotels available in Hawaii. In addition, there are many Hawaii vacation condos throughout the Islands. This entry was posted on Thursday, October 14th, 2010 at 1:28 pmand is filed under Maui Weddings.
